Tangier Island

This Saturday most of the youth went to Tangier Island. We left at 5:30 and got to the marina around 10 and got to the island around 12:30. After we got off the ferry we took a tour around the island.

Then after the tour some of us went to find lunch. We ate at the Muddy Toes Cafe. I got a turkey, ham, and cheddar croissant sandwich with chips and tea. I had a delicious iced lemon pound cake for dessert.

After lunch we went to the Tangier History Museum. They had a short film about the island and its history. After that I perused a few gift shops, walked around, and attained some chocolate ice cream because it was so hot!

After that we looked at some pictures by a local photographer and then loaded on the ferry and headed back to the mainland. After we left we ate supper around 5 in Mechanicsville. After that we finished the trip. All in all it was a good day. I majorly sunburned on the boat ride.
